FAQ

Macarons

How do I store leftover macarons?

Store leftover macarons in a container with an airtight lid. A plastic or glass container is best for this. Plastic zip-lock baggies are also an option, but since macarons tend to crumble easily, it’s best to use a container with a hard shell.

How long do macarons last?

Eat macarons within 72 hours if you don't refrigerate them. Consume refrigerated macarons within 3 days. If not, place them in the freezer.

How long do macarons last in the freezer?

Macarons can be frozen for 3 to 6 months. Macarons will hold on to their flavor and texture in the freezer for up to 3 months. After that, the quality will start to diminish, but they’ll still taste pretty good up to the 6 month mark.

How do I defrost frozen macarons?

Let macarons defrost for 30 minutes before serving. Once you’re ready to eat your refrigerated or frozen cookies, pull the container out and set it on the counter for about half an hour. Allow the macarons to come to room temperature before serving them.

Do you produce nut-free, dairy-free or gluten-free products?

We strive to meet the needs of many dietary restrictions. We offer many gluten-free cake and macaron options and many of our cakes and cupcakes do not contain nuts. We also have dairy-free macarons available. All our products, however, are baked in ovens that also bake nuts and wheat based products. We ask our clients to consider this when placing an order for someone with a severe allergy.

Why are you prices higher than the neighbor stores?

Neighbor stores offer a great service for those looking for that type of dessert. We are a bakery that offers unique macarons, cakes, and cupcakes with a variety of flavors that you won't find in your typical grocery store. Our prices reflect homemade, custom created recipes and cakes made to order.

Do you produce sugar-free products?

Macaronage strives to make great macarons for every taste bud but unfortunately macarons require sugar in order to make them. We do offer sugar-free cakes and cupcakes and reduced-sugar cake balls. You can contact us for more details at 941-807-2571 or lovemacaronage@gmail.com.

Cakes and Cupcakes

How do I slice a tall cake?

Start by cutting the corners just like the aerial view shown. Slice down the cake, leaving the center of the cake untouched. The four corners should give you 2 - 3 slices per corner. Start cutting the center of the cake into 4 long rectangles. Then cut each long rectangles into 3 - 4 slices. If you want to get double the portions you can also cut each slice horizontally in half.

How should I store my leftover cake?

Keep as much of the cake whole as possible, and press plastic wrap, parchment, or wax paper firmly to the cut side of the cake, so the only thing exposed to air is buttercream. Keep refrigerated and bring the portion to plan to enjoy to room temperature before eating.

Policies

What is your return policy?

Due to the tedious, handcrafted nature of our products, we are unable to provide refunds or exchanges for custom orders Once you or a designated party has signed for it, it is considered "accepted" – we will ask to make sure that everything is correct such as the design, flavors, etc. Refunds requested due to decorating style, color shade, or our signature design will not be honored after signing for your items. All products are the responsibility of the customer once delivered and signed for. We are not responsible for any damage occurring to any of our products during transport after Macaronage delivery, set-up or any time thereafter. You will be given instructions on how to carry, transport, and store your products upon derlivery. Keep in mind that macarons, cakes and cupcakes are very fragile and damages can happen if not handled properly – such as cracks, smudges, melted frosting, etc. We only give refunds in accordance with refund policies stated in this section. Cake flavor and texture is subjective. Full refunds requested due to flavor or texture after the cake has been accepted and picked up will not be honored. You may qualify for a percentage of an online store credit if the product is brought back and the quality of the cake flavor or texture is determined to not meet our standards. Cakes must be brought back to us within a timely manner, preferably with 24 hours of pick up - please call or email us promptly to let us know of the issue. Quality determination is solely at the discretion of Macaronage. Please understand that we cannot issue refunds for cakes that have already been completely eaten. *Online Store credit percents are based on how quickly the cake is returned, how much has been consumed, and what we determine the quality to be. Store credits of any kind will not be issued to customers who do not contact us within 48 hours.

The following scenario is the only instance when we will provide a refund:

  • If upon delivery the product does not meet your expectations, we will give you a refund (minus 15% handling/cancellation fee). This refund will be given as a store credit (no cash/money refunds will be given) NOTE: If we give you a refund, you CANNOT keep the product. You can only get the refund if you refuse to “accept” the product. We are not responsible for any expense you may incur for replacing our cake.

Macaronage does not give refunds under any other circumstances. Due to the perishable nature of our product we cannot accept returns or exchanges on our products. Please be sure to double check your order when delivered to make sure it is exactly as it should be.

What are your cancellation or changes policies?

Changes and cancellations to retail orders are accepted until 72 hours (3 days) prior to scheduled delivery time. No refunds will be provided for any payments made on the order no matter the amount - if canceled at least 72 hours in advance we will be happy to transfer any payment made on that order to another order within 3 months from that date. Guarantee Disclamer

We do all that we can to make sure that your order is decorated to the specification on your written order form.
